Signs A Dog Is Pregnant. During her pregnancy your dog spends more time resting becomes less active. Your dogs are panting because start to feel the pain of contractions. Just like with humans the influx of hormones can make our canine females nauseated. They may not show for at least a month but their behavior will give it away. Early signs that a dog may be pregnant include enlarged and reddened nipples in readiness for milk production vomiting and appetite loss if the dog has morning sickness not all dogs experience this and reduced appetite. Be on the lookout for any potential signs of infection which could have been contracted during mating. Sometimes your dog is a bit quieter than usual but more anecdotal observation than proven that. She may also show general discomfort restlessness or a less obedience.
