Hedgehogs As Pets Pros And Cons. Hedgehogs are not native to the Americas and went extinct in North America about ten million years ago. They are adorable little creatures that are cute entertaining and unique. Pros- They are cute pretty calm dont bite usually when properly handled they are friendly they are fun to watch and can be playful. They are adorable and easy to take care of.
Mesh wheels are unsuitable for hedgehogs I AM AWARE but as I said in the video AND in the comments. Hedgehogs are not social animals. And its no wonder since they make wonderful pets. An average healthy pet hedgehog will live between five and eight years but they are prone to certain diseases just like dogs and cats are prone to rabies and distemperHedgehogs have the potential to carry and transmit foot and mouth disease salmonella ringworm and may carry various other microorganisms and viral infections which is the reason they are. Easy to meet diet.
On the plus side hedgehogs are fairly clean and dont produce allergens the same way furry animals do.
