Most bug bites will just create a small bump and itch for a few days. In the United States the bites of the brown recluse spider the yellow sac spider and fire ants cause characteristic blisters.

Identifying Fire Ant Bites. Bed bug bites can look like small red marks on light skin or dark spots on darker skin and often appear as clusters of 3 to 5 bites in a zig-zag or line pattern. Many insects cause blisters but many blisters are so tiny that you experience them as just little bumps. One bug may bite multiple times.
